Follow the instructions on this link http://www.satechhelp.co.za/1611/Install-Whatspp-Messenger-Android-Without-Adding-Email to download whatsapp.
Go to Menu > Settings > Security > check Unknown Sources to allow your phone/tablet to install apps from other Sources.
