Answered: TRWP Custom Recovery for the Vodafone VDF300

This will allow you to root your VDF-300 by pushing the SuperSU.zip. The TWRP is flashable via the SP Flash Tool (Scatter file included). Below an SP Flash Tool based flashing tutorial

1. Obtain the TWRP custom recovery file from here:  http://roms.satechhelp.co.za/product/vodafone-smart-mini-7-twrp-custom-recovery-vdf300/ - download and extract the file
2. Install the MediaTek USB Vcom drivers
3. Download and launch the SP Flash Tool
4. Click scatter loading
5. Browse to and select the scatter *.txt file in the extracted folder
6. Click Download
7. Connect the VDF-300 while off
8. You get 'Download OK'
9. Disconnect and boot into recovery or normally.
