Hello. By default GPS is turned on on Android 4.4.2. Do this

1. Touch the Manu button
2. Look for an app written Maps" (Google Maps).
3. Open that app and log in to your Google account.
4. A search bar will then appear on top of your phone screen.

You can also download GPS navigate apps from google play store.
