Answered: How to hard reset the Blackberry Z10 to factory settings or defaults

Hey Tucks. You can perform a security wipe on your Blackberry Z10 smartphone:

  • Using the BlackBerry Link, or
  • By enter the password 10 times incorrectly and it will auto wiped

Only note that if BlackBerry Protect Anti-theft Protection was enabled, then you will still be prompted to enter the previous Blackberry ID credentials after the wipe - if an attempt is made to sign in with a BlackBerry ID other than the one previously used prior to the wipe, the following message will be displayed:

"The BlackBerry Protect anti-theft feature is on. Please sign in with the BlackBerry ID that was used to set up this device.​ If this is not possible please contact your service provider for other options."

At which stage it will be necessary to contact your nearest service provider to avail further help.
