Hi. Do the following:
Go to Settings > Apps > All (tab) > Whatsapp > Clear Data > OK ... then reboot your AG Mobile device, and retry the Whatsapp Messenger app. Please reply below including the AG device model name as seen on the white sticker under the battery should your issue persist.
